RETRACTABLE FLY SCREENS

The award-winning Tech-Roll Screens have been developed with new technology, the Tech-Roll System, enhancing both the function and physical appearance of your existing windows and doors. Made and manufactured in Australia, our products are convenient, highly efficient and designed to be invisible when retro fitted to existing windows and doors. Suitable for most styles of windows and doors, Tech-Roll Screens will complement your French, Bi-Fold, Sliding, Stacker doors and all types of windows.
Four sides of the mesh have been sewn with PVC film and the insides of the film run along the tracks. Thus mesh will not derail from track even in strong winds. All parts are made from non-corrosive materials so the product can be installed to building exteriors without any problems. The product has been installed with an oil-decelerator and a gear-decelerator to prevent the handle from hitting the cassette when rewinding. Also the tension in spring can be easily adjusted by turning the screw attached to cassette.

Window screens come with many names, these can include insect screens, fly screens, bug screens, mosquito screens, gauze screens and mozzie nets amongst others. The purpose is to keep the pests out, fitted to the style of your windows. Window screens come as standard, with powder coated aluminium frame and fibreglass mesh held in by a spline. Depending on your windows there are a whole lot of variations to this basic design. These include tracks, clips, springs, buttons, handles and other bits which we use to make the screen attach to your window. Some parts allow you to open, move, hinge or get around your screen in order to open or close your windows, depending on your type of windows these may or may not be required. Larger frames require cross-bracing supports. These can either be the same colour as the frame or black which is easier to see past when looking at your views.
Another variation includes the choices of meshes which can be added for various different uses. These are as follows:
Standard: Fibreglass mesh
Optional: Midge mesh – similar to fibreglass mesh but has smaller holes for tiny insects.
Pet mesh or paw-proof mesh – made flexible and strong to cope with tearing and scratching of claws.
Metal meshes – fire protection against ember attack and rodent deterrent. More information about fire options.
Aluminium mesh (black) standard fire rating.
Stainless Mesh (black) higher fire rating.
Bronze mesh (bronze which turns black) higher fire rating.
You also have your choice of many standard colours which match most homes these include powder-coated and anodised aluminium. If standard colours do not suit then there are some optional non-standard colours available as well as the option of getting your frames powder-coated with a special colour of your choice, through our local powder-coater.

Diamond designs
– familiar look, better built
At first glance Prowler Proof’s Diamond designs look similar to other security screens. But have a closer look. You’ll soon notice that there are no visible joints – it looks and feels like the security screen is made in one piece. Which is not far from the truth. Prowler Proof’s security screens are not held together by screws or rivets, they are welded. This adds strength… and good looks. You can choose between the Small Diamond and the Large Diamond designs. Both are secure and economical – Small Diamond marginally more secure, Large Diamond marginally more economical.
